| Debris Removal Could
Remove Protection Do you need to rebuild after a storm or fire has caused damage to your property? No matter how extensive the damage to a building may be, some debris must always be removed before the site is ready to be repaired and those costs must be considered. The cost of removing debris depends on the cause of loss and the degree of damage. For example, in a major fire loss, the fire might actually consume much of the debris making the removal mostly a clean-up expense. If the same amount of damage were due to a hurricane, clean-up might entail clearing debris from the building site as well as cleaning up debris the storm carried away from the location. And...if the debris is hazardous material, prepare for higher costs. Property insurance policies usually provide some percentage of the coverage limits for debris removal following a loss. Regardless, you should contact one of our building coverage experts for a free analysis of your current property coverage that gives full consideration to your debris removal exposure.
