Welcome to Brownell Insurance
Center, Inc. and Brownell Financial Services Group, LLC.
We pride ourselves on being a
friendly, family-style insurance agency. Our goal is to have a
pleasant, service oriented environment for our clients. Thank you for selecting our
company for your insurance needs. Clients' needs are our number one concern.

Company History

Brownell Insurance Agency started
in April of 1986. At the time, Marie Brownell worked at Prudential
Insurance and wanted to build a strong book of business. The
agency's first home was at 4 Crystal Avenue in Derry, NH. A prior
shoe store, there was plenty of work to do to get it into a working
insurance agency. Marie had one employee at that time and their
efforts earned a top sales position at Prudential in 1987. For the
next several years, the agency continued to grow at a rapid pace,
eventually outgrowing the original office space.
At the end of April of 1987,
Rick Brownell joined the agency and made BIC truly a family affair.
We remained captive agents for Prudential until 1991. Prudential was
changing, P & C was no longer a focus. This prompted the Brownells
to join forces with Gloria Fields in 1992 and form Brownell
Insurance Center, Inc. (BIC). No longer captive agents, Rick and
Marie with 2 employees, moved to 122 West Broadway, Derry to open
their new independent insurance agency. Being in our own building
gave further opportunities for the business to continue to flourish.
The insurance industry has had many fluctuations but our family
agency has been able to weather the storm.
In 2004, Marie Brownell rejoined
the agency after pursuing her Masters Degree in Education. She
formed Brownell Financial Services Group, LLC (BFSG). With the help
of the parent company, BIC, we are forming an alliance with New
England Financial (NEF). With Scott Hayward and the NEF team, BFSG
will help BIC expand the book of business. We will also provide our
clients with the full service and products we have been well known
for. The future of both companies is quite bright and the
anticipated growth of our client base substantial.
Rick and Marie are very proud of
the accomplishments of BIC and wish to thank all of our employees
and clients contributions to help make this dream
come true. We are excited to open this next chapter in our agency's
history. |
